A fantastic opportunity to join a high-quality Tax Dispute Resolution team.

Our client is a high-profile London accountancy firm that has built a strong reputation in the Tax field. Their Tax Investigations offering is core to the Private Client department's success and is widely recognised across the profession. Demand for their expertise continues to increase and the team is now keen to appoint an additional adviser at Manager level.

Working closely with leading tax investigations specialists, you will support a range of clients with their representations to HMRC. This will include managing a varied portfolio of tax investigation, tax dispute and tax disclosure cases including agreeing strategies and fee structures. You will draft reports and disclosures to HMRC and robustly defend your clients’ positions.

All of this will require some previous experience of tax investigation work, including HMRC enquiries, making disclosures and penalty mitigation. This could have been gained in a pure tax dispute resolution role, but the position would also suit a personal tax adviser with enquiries/investigations experience looking to specialise in tax investigations work.

You will also have a strong technical grasp of UK personal taxation and be ATT, CTA or HMRC qualified. Previous experience of COP8/9 is desirable although partners/directors will provide assistance in that area.

Salary will be dependent on experience but is likely to be in the region c.£65k - £73k + bens.
