A rare opportunity to join the thriving Private Client Tax team of a respected accountancy practice.

You'll play a key role in delivering personal tax advisory services to a HNW client base of new money entrepreneurs, business owners, families and landed wealth. You'll also mentor a team of advisers, developing their skills and ensuring high quality client service levels.

This is a high profile, client relationship management role, requiring excellent communication and interpersonal skills. An in-depth knowledge of UK income tax, CGT and IHT as it applies to HNW private clients and their families is important. The CTA qualification is a pre-requisite.

You'll get involved with a broad range of private client tax work including succession planning, the use of trusts and family investment companies, advice regarding residence and the new FIG regime.

As one of the key members of the Private Client Tax team, you'll also work alongside Partners on related business development and networking initiatives, enabling you to build a name across the region.

Based in Bath (or potentially Swindon), the role offers hybrid working 2-3 days a week. The position would suit an existing Director seeking a new challenge in a friendly, sociable and supportive environment. We are working closely with a leading London Private Client law firm, who are keen to appoint a Senior Manager level adviser to their Trusts & Estates team.

The incoming individual may already be a Senior Manager seeking a new challenge in a thriving, growing team. Alternatively, they could be a talented Manager looking to step up to SM grade. Either way, they are likely to be STEP qualified and hold a tax and/or accounting qualification.

The role will involve working alongside a Trust Manager and Senior Manager, as well as liaising closely with some or the private client profession's leading Partners. Key duties will include:

- Performing a key client relationship management role as a senior member of the team.

- Serving as the primary point of contact for trustees, beneficiaries and intermediaries.

- Offering written advice to trustees regarding the financial, tax, and trust law status of trusts under management.

- Managing the annual trust accounts and tax return compliance cycle

- Overseeing CGT, IHT and income tax reporting and ad hoc planning.

- Advising offshore trustees with UK resident beneficiaries.

- Overseeing the preparation of IHT returns for 10-year and exit charges.
