A great opportunity for a CTA qualified personal tax Senior to develop their tax planning skills in an advisory-focused role.

Advise a broad range of HNW individuals, families, landed wealth, business owners and entrepreneurs. Work with leading Partners on an interesting range of ad hoc capital taxes planning projects.

Act as a key point of contact, in very much a client-facing, relationship management role.

You'll need demonstrable experience of advising HNW private clients on their personal taxation. Strong communication, report writing and interpersonal skills are also important.

In return you'll join a thriving, sociable and supportive team that is proud of the high quality work they handle.

Salary dependent on experience but likely to be in the range £30,000 - £40,000 + Bens. They also genuinely embrace work/life balance, including offering hybrid working 2-3 days a week.

We are keen to speak to CTA qualified personal tax Managers and top-end Assistant Managers, who may be interested in a new, advisory-focused role in Cambridge.

As a key member of a high-profile Private Client Tax team, you’ll advise HNW entrepreneurs, business owners, families, trusts and landed wealth on all areas of their income and capital taxes planning.

You’ll work closely with respected Partners, developing your technical, managerial and business development experience in what is a friendly and supportive environment. 

The incoming individual will need to have a strong technical grasp of income tax, CGT and IHT planning for HNWIs (including the use of trusts), with experience of advising new-money entrepreneurial private clients. Experience of succession planning and / or international personal tax (FIG regime, residence etc) would be particularly valued.

The firm has adopted hybrid working and flexible hours, with homeworking possible 2-3 days a week. Salary will be dependent on experience, but is likely to be in the range £60k-£70k + bens.

We are working with a prominent Cambridge accountancy firm that has built a strong reputation in the HNW Private Client field. They are growing and keen to find a talented individual at Associate Director level. The role would suit either an AD seeking a new challenge and a route towards Director, or alternatively, a Senior Manager ready for the step up to Associate Director grade.

As an Associate Director, your responsibilities will include:

- Acting as the key trusted adviser to HNW private clients with complex tax affairs. These will include serial entrepreneurs, agricultural / landed wealth, prominent families, partnerships and Trusts.

- Providing ad hoc personal tax planning advice on areas including succession, IHT and estate planning, CGT, trusts and property related taxation.

- Building and maintaining client relationships, as well as identifying new work opportunities.

- Supervising junior staff, their compliance and advisory workloads.

- Developing the junior team and assisting with their technical and personal growth.

Background:

- Significant experience in private client tax from a professional services firm.

- Currently at least Senior Manager grade within a respected team.

- Sound knowledge of private client tax issues including CGT, IHT and trusts - preferably some experience with rural clients and landed estates.

- Proven technical expertise and the ability to convey complex messages effectively.

- Experience in tax planning/advisory projects and handling compliance issues.

- People management and organizational skills.

- Qualified Chartered Accountant and/or Chartered Tax Adviser (ACA/CTA).

The firm offers hybrid working 2-3 days a week. Salary dependent on experience but likely to be in the region £82k-£92k + bens.

If you're a personal tax CTA looking to move into an advisory-focused role, our client offers the opportunity to handle high quality private client tax planning work from their offices in either Canterbury or Chatham. There's also scope to homework a couple of days a week.

You'll work closely with high profile partners and senior managers, providing ad hoc income and capital taxes planning advice to HNW families, entrepreneurs and business owners. This is an advisory-focused role (90%), requiring the CTA qualification and a strong technical understanding of CGT, IHT and income tax issues. Some previous personal tax planning experience would be helpful but is not essential. 

As this is very much a client-facing role, excellent communication and relationship management skills are essential.

Salary will be dependent on experience, but is likely to be in the region c.£45k-£55k + bens.

Our client is independently recognised as a leading provider of private client tax and trusts advice to domestic and international UHNWIs. Their Trusts team is growing and are keen to appoint an additional Tax & Trusts adviser at Manager level.

The role will involve taking responsibility for a portfolio of onshore and offshore trusts, acting as the client's primary point of contact. You'll work closely with Directors and Partners on ad hoc trust advisory projects, as well as reviewing trust accounts and returns prepared by junior staff. You'll oversee day to day trust management, liaising with clients, trustees and third-party advisers.

The successful candidate is likely to be STEP qualified (potentially also CTA) and will certainly have demonstrable experience of advising on trust taxation, trust accountants, IHT and estate planning. They will be looking for a modern, supportive environment in which to develop their career towards Senior Manager and Director grades.

Salary will be dependent on grade and experience but within the band £65,000-£75,000 + bens.
