Our client is a prominent firm of accountants and tax advisers, based in the heart of Winchester. They have built a particularly strong reputation for advising landed wealth and HNW families, as well as serial entrepreneurs, business owners and UK res non doms.

The team is busy, growing and keen to make an additional appointment at Senior Manager level.

The incoming individual will take responsibility for a dynamic portfolio of HNW private clients. They will oversee complex personal tax compliance matters and also get involved with ad hoc capital taxes planning work. This is very much a client-facing role, requiring strong communication and relationship management skills.

The CTA qualification is desirable and you will certainly have extensive experience of advising wealthy clients on IHT, CGT and trusts. Experience of domicile, residence and remittance would also be valued. 

The team operates hybrid working with advisers typically in the office three days a week. Salary will be dependent on experience but likely to be in the region c.£75,000 - £85,000.

The team is growing and looking to bolster its offering with the appointment of a CTA qualified personal tax Senior Manager. The role would suit a talented adviser looking to be part of a dynamic, thriving and high quality Private Client team. Genuine scope exists to progress on towards Director grade with the support of the team's Partners. 

The firm has fully-adopted hybrid working and scope exists to work from home 2-3 days a week if one wishes.

Key elements of the role will include:

  • Managing HNW client relationships as their primary point of contact.
  • Overseeing their annual compliance cycle and a team of junior tax advisers
  • Handling high-end ad hoc income and capital taxes planning projects.
  • Advising on CGT, IHT, domicile/residence issues and the use of trust structures
  • Working closely with leading Partners where required.
  • Identifying potential planning opportunities and assisting with marketing and networking initiatives.

As very much a client-facing role, you will require excellent communication and relationship management skills. The CTA qualification is a pre-requisite, along with experience of advising international as well as domestic HNWIs.

Salary will be dependent on experience and grade, but is likely to be in the region £75k-£85k + bens p.a.

The team is thriving and key to make a strategic appointment at Senior Manager level. You will perform very much a client-facing role as a key relationship holder. You'll work closely with leading Partners to provide high-end tax planning advice, as well as overseeing the compliance process undertaken by junior tax staff.

We are working with one of London's leading advisers to HNW American private clients. This non-Big 4 and non-PE backed firm, offers exposure to high-end personal tax advisory work, as part of a supportive and thriving team.

Their US Private Client Tax team is growing and keen to make a strategic hire at Tax Director grade. The incoming individual will be the lead advisor on key HNW client relationships. They'll look after US executives, business owners, PE principals, their families and family offices.

They will identify and advise on ad hoc tax and trust planning opportunities, including drafting detailed tax advisory reports. This will include advising on succession planning and the use of trusts, as well as pre-arrival and departure tax advice. Working alongside recognised Partners, they will also get involved with networking and business development activities.

This is an opportunity for an experienced, EA/ATT dual-qualified adviser to develop their career in a supportive environment where they will have a genuine voice.

You’ll be an integral member of the team, performing an advisory-focused, client-facing role. You’ll collaborate closely with well-known partners and manage junior advisers handling day-to-day compliance.

Your clients will include HNW business owners, serial entrepreneurs, wealthy families, family offices and trusts. Many are international with multi-jurisdictional aspects to their affairs. Experience of advising on remittance, domicile and residence is therefore important.

Key responsibilities include:

– Managing a portfolio of HNW clients as their key point of contact

– Undertaking personal tax planning projects on areas including CGT, IHT, property-related issues, use of trust structures, extraction of wealth from businesses etc

– Mentoring, managing and supporting junior team members

– Identifying new client relationships and assisting in business development initiatives

– Overseeing compliance work undertaken by more junior advisers

Ideal candidates will be CTA / ACA qualified, with extensive UK private client tax experience. Some evidence of personal tax advisory work is important. Strong communication and client relationship management experience is essential.

The team is keen to support the incoming Manager with progression towards Senior Manager and Director grades. They offer hybrid working 2-3 days a week and foster a healthy work/life balance culture.

Do you have experience of working on HMRC enquiries / investigations?

Our client is one of London’s prominent accountancy firms. Their Tax Dispute Resolution team handles high-end tax investigations work and offers an exciting career path towards Manager and Senior Manager grades.

They are looking for a Tax Assistant Manager to work closely with the Directors and Partners on a broad range of tax investigation enquiry work. Liaising directly with clients, you will assist with the day to day running of investigations, as well as preparing investigation reports and submissions to HMRC. Ultimately ensuring satisfactory outcomes are reached for all parties.

Strong communication skills, combined with personal tax technical knowledge, are therefore essential.

The successful candidate is likely to be CTA qualified (or equivalent) and be able to demonstrate experience of working on tax investigations, as well as a willingness and ability to develop their skills in that area. COP8/9 experience will be particularly valued.

You could be a private client tax professional with experience of tax investigations and looking to specialise in that field. Alternatively, you could already be working in a Tax Dispute Resolution team and be looking for the next step in your career. 

Salary dependent on experience and qualifications but likely to be in the region £50,000 - £60,000 + bens.
