We’re working with a prominent accountancy firm that is looking to recruit a Personal Tax Associate Director into its growing Birmingham team. You’ll take responsibility for a portfolio of wealthy entrepreneurial private clients, advising on related income and capital taxation, trusts, domicile and shareholder planning issues. This is very much a client-facing role, requiring excellent communication skills as well as strong tax technical knowledge
You’ll need to be CTA qualified with demonstrable experience in advising HNW entrepreneurs, business owners, wealthy families and ideally non doms. Experience of supervising junior tax advisers is important, along with tax advisory experience (the role involves both ad hoc planning projects and complex compliance). You’ll be keen to develop your skills and knowledge by working with leading directors and partners in a supportive and encouraging environment. There is a genuine route towards Director grade.

Our client is independently recognised as a leading provider of private client tax and trusts advice to domestic and international UHNWIs. Their Trusts team is growing and are keen to appoint an additional Tax & Trusts adviser at Manager level.
The role will involve taking responsibility for a portfolio of onshore and offshore trusts, acting as the client's primary point of contact. You'll work closely with Directors and Partners on ad hoc trust advisory projects, as well as reviewing trust accounts and returns prepared by junior staff. You'll oversee day to day trust management, liaising with clients, trustees and third-party advisers.
The successful candidate is likely to be STEP qualified (potentially also CTA) and will certainly have demonstrable experience of advising on trust taxation, trust accountants, IHT and estate planning. Salary will be dependent on grade and experience but within the band £65,000-£75,000 + bens.

We are working with a respected London law firm, whose Trusts & Estates team is looking to make a strategic hire at Manager or Senior Manager level.
The incoming individual will oversee a high-end portfolio of trusts and estates, taking responsibility for their related accounts, returns and associated compliance. The majority of the trusts are UK domestic, but there is also scope to get involved with offshore trusts advice.
You will supervise a team of more junior trusts advisers and also have the opportunity to work with senior managers and partners on ad hoc trust planning projects.
The STEP and/or ATT/ACA qualifications would be ideal but are not essential. However, strong experience of advising on, preparing and reviewing trust and estates accounts and returns is important. The successful candidate will have an excellent grasp of the UK trust taxation.
Very much a client-facing and third-party facing role, it is important that the incoming individual is a confident communicator with excellent client relationship management skills.
Genuine scope exists for progression, in what is a supportive and sociable environment. The team is based in central London but operates hybrid working 2-3 days a week.

Our client is a respected London accountancy firm that has built a strong reputation in the Tax field. Their Tax Investigations offering is core to the Private Client department's success and is widely recognised across the profession. Demand for their expertise continues to grow and the team is now keen to appoint an additional adviser at Manager level.
Working closely with leading tax investigations specialists, you will support a range of clients with their representations to HMRC. This will include managing a varied portfolio of tax investigation, tax dispute and tax disclosure cases including agreeing strategies and fee structures. You will draft reports and disclosures to HMRC and robustly defend your clients’ positions.
All of this will require previous experience of tax investigation work, including HMRC enquiries, making disclosures and penalty mitigation. You will have a strong technical grasp of UK personal taxation and be ATT, CTA or HMRC qualified. Previous experience of COP8/9 is desirable although partners/directors will provide assistance in that area.
