Our client has built a reputation as a leading adviser to HNW/UHNW individuals. Their Private Client Tax offering includes a specialist US/UK team that provides personal tax advice to wealthy private clients (FS executives, business owners, entrepreneurs and their families). 

Demand for their expertise continues to grow and they are keen to recruit an EA/ATT dual-qualified Manager, to provide personal tax advisory and compliance services as a strategic member of the team.

You’ll take responsibility for a HNW client portfolio as their primary point of contact. You’ll also work closely with some of the profession’s leading US/UK Partners, who will support you with your own progression towards Senior Manager and Director grades.

The role requires a strong technical grasp of US and UK personal taxation, gained in a leading UK tax team. It would suit either an existing Manager seeking a new challenge, or a talented Assistant Manager ready to step up to Manager grade.

You’ll have gained the EA and ATT qualifications, but the role also requires excellent client relationship management skills and a commercial approach to WIP, recoverability and identifying new business opportunities.

The firm has adopted hybrid working, with many of the team coming into the office 2-3 days a week. However, there is scope to work more remotely if one wishes.

Salary will be dependent on experience and grade but their Manager band runs to £75k + Bens.

We have been instructed by a long-established private family office. Their Trusts team is growing and they are keen to appoint an additional Trust Senior.

Working closely with a Trust Director and Trust Manager, the incoming individual will oversee a portfolio of high value trusts, their administration, accounts and returns. They will perform very much a family-facing role, so excellent communication and inter-personal skills are essential.

The successful candidate is likely to have at least two years’ trust accounts and return preparation experience and may also hold a tax, accounting or trust qualification. They will be a team player, with an excellent eye for detail, as well as an interest in being a key trusted adviser to HNW clients.

Based in central London, hybrid working and a great work/life balance on offer. Salary will be dependent on experience but is likely to be c.£42k - £50k p.a. plus 8% non-contributory pension, private medical cover and a range of benefits.

The incoming individual will oversee a high-end portfolio of trusts and estates, taking responsibility for their related accounts, returns and associated compliance. The majority of the trusts are UK domestic, but there is also scope to get involved with offshore trusts advice.

The Senior Manager will supervise a team of more junior trusts advisers and also have the opportunity to work with partners on ad hoc trust planning and structuring projects.

  • Combine ongoing complex compliance work with ad-hoc advisory projects. The compliance element can be tailored to the incoming individual and their experience/preferences.
  • Communicate complex tax concepts clearly and concisely as a key client-facing adviser.
  • Collaborate within a supportive team environment.

About You:

  • CTA qualified and possibly also STEP.
  • Possess a strong technical background in UK tax and trusts, with a focus on international private clients.
  • You are eager to expand your knowledge and skills in a constantly evolving field.
  • You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and can explain complex tax issues in plain language.
