We are handling a rare opportunity to join the private family office of an UHNW family in London.

Escape the stress of billing, chargeability and recoverability, and focus on delivering trusts advice to a multi-generational family.

The Trusts team is growing and they are keen to appoint an additional Trust & Tax Manager.

Working closely with a Trust Director, the incoming individual will oversee a portfolio of high value trusts, their administration, accounts and returns. They will perform very much a family-facing role, so excellent communication and inter-personal skills are essential.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable trust accounts and trust return preparation and review experience and may well hold a tax, accounting or trust qualification.

They will be a team player, with an excellent eye for detail, as well as an interest in being a key trusted adviser to HNW clients.

Based in central London, the team are in the office three days a week. Salary will be dependent on experience but is likely to be c.£60k – £68k p.a. plus 8% non-contributory pension, private medical cover and a range of benefits.

Our client is independently recognised as a leading provider of private client tax and trusts advice to domestic and international UHNWIs. Their Trusts team is growing and are keen to appoint an additional Tax & Trusts adviser at Manager level.

The role will involve taking responsibility for a portfolio of onshore and offshore trusts, acting as the client's primary point of contact. You'll work closely with Directors and Partners on ad hoc trust advisory projects, as well as reviewing trust accounts and returns prepared by junior staff. You'll oversee day to day trust management, liaising with clients, trustees and third-party advisers.

The successful candidate is likely to be STEP qualified (potentially also CTA) and will certainly have demonstrable experience of advising on trust taxation, trust accountants, IHT and estate planning. They will be looking for a modern, supportive environment in which to develop their career towards Senior Manager and Director grades.

Salary will be dependent on grade and experience but within the band £65,000-£75,000 + bens.

Our client is one of London’s prominent accountancy firms. Their Tax Dispute Resolution team handles high-end tax investigations work and offers an exciting career path towards Manager and Senior Manager grades.

They are looking for a Tax Assistant Manager to work closely with the Directors and Partners on a broad range of tax investigation enquiry work. Liaising directly with clients, you will assist with the day to day running of investigations, as well as preparing investigation reports and submissions to HMRC. Ultimately ensuring satisfactory outcomes are reached for all parties.

Strong communication skills, combined with personal tax technical knowledge, are therefore essential.

The successful candidate is likely to be CTA qualified (or equivalent) and be able to demonstrate experience of working on tax investigations, as well as a willingness and ability to develop their skills in that area. COP8/9 experience will be particularly valued.

You could be a private client tax professional with experience of tax investigations and looking to specialise in that field. Alternatively, you could already be working in a Tax Dispute Resolution team and be looking for the next step in your career. 

Salary dependent on experience and qualifications but likely to be in the region £50,000 - £60,000 + bens.
