An opportunity to join a thriving, growing Trusts & Estates team that forms a key part of a respected London Private Client Tax practice.

You’ll joined a team of experienced trusts advisers and work closely with a specialist Trusts Partner, on a range of trust and estates compliance and planning projects. You’ll perform a client and third-party facing role, as a key trusted adviser, as well as helping with developing the junior advisers in the team.

You’ll need extensive trusts and tax experience, including the preparation and review of trust and estate returns and accounts. You'll also work alongside experienced Partners, assisting with ad hoc trust planning and structuring projects. Strong technical knowledge of trusts taxation is also important.

The STEP and or ATT/CTA/ACA qualifications would be valued, but our client is happy to look at talented advisers who are qualified by experience.

Scope exists to progress to Director grade in one of London’s prominent Trusts & Estates teams.

Based in the City, the role offers hybrid working 2-3 days a week. Salary dependent on experience but up to £100k + benefits.

You’ll join an established and high-profile team, advising regional, London and international wealth. The role would suit a London an experienced Senior Manager or Associate Director looking to pursue their Private Client Tax career outside the Capital. The Role

Client Advisory

  • Act as trusted lead adviser to a varied portfolio of HNW private clients

Practice & Team Development

Technical Contribution

Experience & Attributes

  • Chartered Tax Adviser with significant private client tax experience
  • Strong technical grounding across UK income tax, IHT and CGT issues including succession planning, the use of trusts and international (residence/domicile) advice.
  • Experience delivering bespoke advice to high-net-worth individuals and families
  • Comfortable contributing to articles, presentations, and client-facing materials
  • A practical understanding of tax technology and its role in client delivery
  • Advanced MS Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing people
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a calm and confident advisory style
  • Collegiate, personable, and relationship-focused
  • Organised, accountable, and able to manage priorities effectively

Our client is one of London’s prominent accountancy firms. Their Tax Dispute Resolution team handles high-end tax investigations work and offers an exciting career path towards Manager and Senior Manager grades.

They are looking for a Tax Assistant Manager to work closely with the Directors and Partners on a broad range of tax investigation enquiry work. Liaising directly with clients, you will assist with the day to day running of investigations, as well as preparing investigation reports and submissions to HMRC. Ultimately ensuring satisfactory outcomes are reached for all parties.

Strong communication skills, combined with personal tax technical knowledge, are therefore essential.

The successful candidate is likely to be CTA qualified (or equivalent) and be able to demonstrate experience of working on tax investigations, as well as a willingness and ability to develop their skills in that area. COP8/9 experience will be particularly valued.
