Michael began his Tax career with one of the large international accountancy practices in London. He trained and qualified in Personal Tax, advising UK and international high net worth individuals on income and capital taxes planning.

In 2000 he moved into the executive search field, recruiting personal tax and trusts professionals for the UK’s leading accountancy practices, law firms, private banks and family offices.

He founded Howells Consulting Ltd in 2010, as the UK’s premier private client recruitment boutique.

Outside work, he lives in rural Kent with his wife and family. Most weekends are spent running the children around to netball and hockey matches, but he squeezes in pub walks whenever possible.
